How to Make a Natural Cork Card Holder Vegan Wallet
Make a cute DIY card holder from cork. Yep, you've heard that right, natural cork fabric from Portugal! It's the best cruelty-free leather alternative that is water-resistant to protect your cards, durable and easy to clean. This card holder wallet is a great craft idea.
This handmade cork card holder is both beautiful and minimalist. You can choose any colors, prints and patterns you want from our very own natural cork fabrics collection, with more than 100 different colored and printed textiles.
So just follow these steps and start sewing:
- we are going to make a case with 4 card pockets;
- choose your coloured color fabric and we can get started;
- we will need rectangular panels with size measurements as shown;
- the layering pocket panels should be with a height difference of 1cm each;
- choose the front and the back panels and assemble them to check preview;
- run the edges with marker ink and burn out the raw edges to give each panel a finished look;
- similarly prepare each panel and keep;
- make sure the edges are neatly matching after removing the frays;
- mark notches and stitch along the three corners as shown;
- stitch the notches and check if they’re aligned properly;
- now stitch the corners as shown, your back panel is now ready;
- similarly mark notches for the front pocket and stitch as shown;
- now stitch the additional patch pocket;
- make sure the edge are aligned well, now your front panel is ready;
- place them together carefully and stitch them;
- finish it with an edge color and you are good to go;
