Tax, Duty & Customs Information

1. Tax & Duty Responsibility

For orders shipped outside the European Union, customs duties, import taxes, and customs clearance fees may apply depending on the destination country.

Customs policies vary from country to country, so we recommend checking with your local customs office if you have any questions before placing your order.

2. Special Conditions for the USA

🇺🇸 United States

Orders shipped to the USA are sent under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms.

This means that we cover:

Shipping costs
Customs duties
Customs clearance fees

USA customers do not need to pay any additional customs duties or import fees upon delivery.

3. Other Non-EU Countries

🌍 Other countries outside the EU

Orders shipped to non-EU countries other than the USA are sent under DDU / DAP (Delivered Duty Unpaid / Delivered At Place) terms.

This means that the customer is responsible for paying:

Customs duties
Import taxes
Any customs clearance fees charged by local authorities

These charges are not included in the product or shipping price paid at checkout.

International Shipping & Customs Clearance Information

Under normal circumstances, customs clearance is handled automatically by the shipping company and completed quickly.

For most international shipments, customs clearance documents are submitted automatically once the parcel arrives in the destination country. If any duties or taxes are due, the shipping company will contact the recipient directly to arrange payment when applicable.

Once any required payment is completed, the parcel will continue to its final delivery destination.

In most cases, international orders do not experience customs-related delays.

Random Customs Inspections

Please note that customs authorities worldwide may occasionally select parcels for random inspection.

Even when all shipping documents are complete and the customs declaration is accurate, a parcel may still be held temporarily for additional review.

The time required for this process depends on several factors, including:

The workload of local customs authorities
The type of goods being inspected
Invoice, declared value, or other documentation requirements
Local customs regulations and procedures

Random inspections are a normal part of international shipping and do not mean there is a problem with your order.

Tracking Updates During Customs Processing

During customs processing, tracking updates may temporarily stop or show statuses such as:

Arrived at Customs
Held by Customs
Under Review

This is normal and does not mean the parcel is lost. It simply means the shipment is being processed by customs authorities.

Delays Caused by Customs

Customs clearance times are determined solely by the customs authorities in the destination country and are outside our control.

Because of this:

Customs delays are not considered shipping carrier errors
Customs delays are not considered product-related issues
Customs delays are not valid grounds for order cancellation, refund requests, disputes, or chargebacks

We will always do our best to assist by providing any necessary shipping or customs documents and helping you monitor the shipment status, but we cannot predict or speed up customs processing times.

Consequences of Non-Payment of Duties or Taxes

For shipments where customs duties, import taxes, or clearance fees are the customer’s responsibility:

If the customer refuses to pay the required customs charges and the parcel is returned, the customer will be responsible for the round-trip shipping costs.
If the parcel is abandoned, destroyed, or not returned by customs due to non-payment, no refund will be issued.
