Tax & Duty Responsibilities & Consequences of Non-Payment

Consequences of Non-Payment:

    • If you refuse to pay taxes/duties and the package is returned: You (the buyer) shall bear the round-trip shipping costs.
    • If the package is destroyed or abandoned by customs due to unpaid taxes/duties: No refund will be issued.
    • Tax & Duty Responsibility: For orders outside the EU, you may be liable for customs duties and customs clearance fees. Customs policies vary by country, so we recommend checking with your local customs office.
    • Customs Clearance Note: Customs may cause delivery delays. You are responsible for all customs duties and customs clearance fees charged by the customs authorities of the destination country.

International Shipping and Customs Clearance Information

Under normal circumstances, customs clearance is handled automatically and completed quickly by the shipping company

Most international parcels, upon arrival in the destination country, will have their customs clearance documents automatically submitted by the shipping company.

Under normal circumstances, customs clearance will be completed quickly.

After customs clearance, if duties are incurred, the shipping company will notify the recipient to pay.

After payment, the parcel can continue to be delivered.

👉 In other words, most orders will not experience any customs clearance delays.

Random customs inspections are a normal part of the international shipping process

Customs worldwide have a 'random inspection system.'

Even if the documents are complete and the declaration is accurate, the parcel may still be inspected.

Once randomly inspected, the parcel will enter an additional review stage.

The processing time depends on:
- The workload of local customs
- The content to be checked (goods category, invoice, declared value, etc.)
- Local policy requirements

👉 Random checks are rare but normal and do not indicate a problem with the package.

Temporary delays in logistics updates during customs clearance are normal

Logistics updates may be temporarily unavailable during the following statuses as part of customs processing:
- “Arrived at Customs”
- “Held by Customs”
- “Under Review”

👉 This status does not indicate the package is lost, but rather that customs is processing it.

Customs duties are borne by the recipient (international standard)

If customs charges duties or clearance fees, these are borne by the recipient.

Tax rates vary by country; customers are advised to familiarize themselves with local customs policies in advance.

Delays caused by customs checks are not grounds for refunds or order cancellations

Sellers cannot control the speed of customs processing.

Therefore:
- Customs clearance delays are not considered logistical abnormalities.
- They are not considered product issues.
- They do not constitute grounds for order cancellation, refund requests/disputes, or credit card disputes.

We will do our best to assist in providing the necessary documents and track the progress, but we cannot predict customs review time in advance.
